DescriptionZibibbo is another name for the grape Muscat of Alexandria.
The carefully tended old vines were planted in the 1970s – the Sidney Wilcox Homestead dates from 1906 – in a single estate comprising of limestone with red desert sand overlay.
The low yield grapes are bag pressed, cold settled and racked to ferment. A small proportion has contact with seasoned French oak, the majority is tank fermented to retain the varietal freshness.
Bright straw yellow colour. Very fragrant aromas of orange and lemon blossom with hints of bergamot. It is a dry wine (3.6g/lt residual sugar) with crisp minerality on the palate, delicate spiced muscat and citrus notes finishing with a long velvety and zippy freshness.
Crafted specifically to go with spicy fusion foods such as baked salmon and fennel, chilli crab or curries.
