Description
Aged Tawny Ports are matured in wood for variable periods of time – the age mentioned on the label corresponds to the approximated average of the different wines age on the blend. Kopke 10 Year Old Tawny is a dry wine expressing the character of Port aged in oak casks rather than in bottle.
This Port can throw a slight deposit, so decanting would be advised, and once opened it should be consumed within 4 to 6 months.
It is a great choice to serve with strong cheeses and pâtés or with dried fruits, foie gras, aubergine dishes and nuts.
Spicy aromas add to the dried fruits and the elegant notes of wood and honey. Smooth and round with a off-dry nutty character to the aftertaste.
