Description

Marlborough, New Zealand

A fuller and spicier style of New Zealand Pinot Noir.

The grapes are selected from the inland, elevated Matapiro region and matured in French Oak Barriques. Elegant, juicy and vibrant best sums up this Marlborough Pinot Noir. Hãhã means savoury and luscious in Maori .

Grapes from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys are cold soaked prior to temperature controlled fermentation in a mixture of steel tanks and oak barrels. There is minimal intervention and fining and the juice is matured on oak for 8 months prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes: A big, aromatic Pinot Noir with dark berry, black cherry and underlying savoury characters. The palate is juicy and full-bodied, delivering succulent fruit flavours together with a subtle spicy complexity, finishing long and smooth.
