Typically Riojan blend of 90% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo and 5% Graciano – with 12 months in both American and French oak barrels. Toasty notes from the wood and secondary sensations from the malolactic fermentation.
Vallemayor has been the principal Rioja agency for decades. They combine modern technology and traditional knowledge for the elaboration of their wines. American and French oak 225 ltr casks for the ageing are replaced when they’re six years old, assuring the best quality for the wines.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of black cherry and dark fruits, toasty notes from the wood and secondary sensations from the malolactic fermentation. Full bodied and very well balanced between a fruity bouquet and vanilla flavours. It has a soft and very smooth finish.
