All Krombacher beers are brewed only at source in the original location of the small town of Krombach, Westfalia. The brewery, founded in 1803, was sited to take full advantage of the pure, local spring water – Felsquellwasser® and is still drawn upon today. Being soft and low in minerals the water is therefore ideal for brewing Pilsner.
Krombacher is a perfect marriage of old brewing traditions with modern technology and their use of the finest natural ingredients and provides the essence to the uniqueness and taste of their beers. Tasting Notes: The full, attractive aroma of noble hops is nicely balanced with light malt. A slight bitterness is revealed primarily in the finish and remains as a pleasant aftertaste in the mouth. A wonderfully smooth balance of hops and malt with a distinct crispness and an exceptionally refreshing finish.
Food pairing suggestions: well matched with beef, gammon and lamb steaks, mixed grills and BBQed dishes. It can also be drunk with curries and vegetarian meals.
